Levomekol is an ointment that has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. It effectively fights various infectious diseases, such as ulcers, boils, burns, wounds and other skin damage. The drug accelerates the tissue healing process and has an analgesic effect. Levomekol is as safe as possible for use, and thanks to its complex action, you can achieve the fastest possible results. The instructions for use are quite simple, so the ointment can be used both at home and in hospitals and clinics. It is available in a convenient 40 gram package, which is the optimal size for treating minor injuries. Levomekol is a reliable assistant in the treatment of many skin diseases, which, when used correctly, gives quick and high-quality results.

Directions for use and dosage:
Locally. Sterile gauze pads are impregnated with the drug and loosely filled into the wound. It can be administered into purulent cavities through a catheter (drainage tube) using a syringe. In this case, the ointment is preheated to 35-36C. Dressings are performed daily, once a day, until the wound is completely cleansed of purulent-necrotic masses. For large wound surfaces, the daily dose of ointment in terms of chloramphenicol should not exceed 3 g.
The duration of treatment depends on the severity and course of the disease.

Indications:
Infected wounds (including cuts and abrasions) of various locations (including those infected with mixed microflora) in the first phase of the wound process.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to components; children under 1 year of age (in newborns, the biotransformation of chloramphenicol occurs more slowly than in adults).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Use during pregnancy is possible only if the benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus.
During lactation, you should either discontinue use or breastfeed.
